Are there any medical conditions that would make massage inadvisable?

Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before we begin your session, we have a conversation regarding your general health history. It is very important that you inform me of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.

What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, which is also known as marijuana or hemp.

CBD is a naturally occurring substance that is used in products like oils, lotions, salves, tinctures and even edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is NOT psychoactive.

I currently use my products from a local Colorado company, ColorUp Theraputics.

What is Ashiatsu?

In Japanese, "Ashi" translates to foot and "Atsu" into pressure. Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad, consistent pressure while utilizing their feet and body weight. Working with gravity instead of against it, Ashiatsu therapists provide an effective massage targeting the deep myofascial connective tissue, without causing pain or discomfort to the receiving client, or themselves! Ashi "butter" is applied to the client's body making this deep therapeutic massage fluid and relaxing. Draping is modest but minimal. Parallel bars are used above the massage table for balance, support, and client safety.

What is Sarga Bodywork?

SARGA BODYWORK® is a barefoot massage method that employs the use of a fabric strap fastened to a massage table to deliver therapeutic myofascial and deep tissue techniques. This length of fabric is used by practitioners for stability and to add tensional and gravitational force to specific manual therapy methods. These methods, applied with the broad contact surfaces of the feet facilitate less restriction and more ease and relaxation in recipients’ bodies. Please contact me directly to book a Sarga Silk Bodywork session.
